Common questions

What artists, engineers, and labels ask before booking the Atmos room.

What does the rate cover?
$250/hour or $1,995 for a 10-hour day. Both rates include a house engineer trained on the room and full access to the Avid S6, JBL Synthesis playback, and Atmos signal chain. There are no extra surcharges for the certified configuration.
Do I have to use your engineer?
Our house engineer is included in the rate and recommended — they know the room and the Atmos workflow inside out. If you want to bring your own certified Atmos engineer, that's fine too; a short orientation is required.
What deliverables can I leave with?
Apple Music–ready Atmos masters (ADM BWF), binaural renders, 5.1 / 7.1 / 7.1.4 downmixes, and standard stereo. Everything is rendered in-room and QC'd before you walk out.
Can I bring stems from another studio?
Yes — bring Pro Tools sessions, multitracks, or stems. We can ingest from any standard format and start mixing immediately. Our engineer can also do prep work before your session if you send files ahead.
What's the difference between 9.6.2 and 7.1.4?
9.6.2 refers to our physical speaker count (9 wall, 6 ceiling, 2 sub) — the layout Dolby certified our room around. 7.1.4 is the most common Atmos delivery target for streaming. Our room can monitor and render in any standard Atmos configuration up to 9.6.2.
Can I book a listening session for my team or label?
Absolutely. The room comfortably seats a small group for A&R playbacks, mix reviews, and showcase listening sessions. Text or email and we'll set you up.
How far in advance should I book?
1–2 weeks is the safest lead time. The room is in demand for Apple spatial deadlines, so weekend and end-of-quarter slots fill first. Last-minute slots open up regularly — just text and ask.
Is there a minimum session length?
2 hours minimum. Most mix sessions run 6–10 hours, so the day rate ends up being the better value for full songs or short films.

Ready to mix in Atmos?

Text us with your project — a song, an album, a film cue, or a label listening session — and we'll lock in the room.
